Walter Edward Kahler Sr., passed away peacefully on October 8, 2020 after many years of successfully fighting Parkinson's Disease. A brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. He was proceeded in death, by his loving wife Delores in 2015 after 63 years of marriage.
Walter was born and raised in Denver. He was the fifth of twelve children born to Henry and Molly Kahler. Walt was the first generation to be born in the United States from German immigrants. His parents immigrated from the Volga River area of Russia.
Walter retired in 1990 after an impressive tenure of working for the Gates Rubber Company for over 44 years. Walt worked at Gates starting as a delivery person and shortly thereafter, started working in the Printing Department. He was a pressman and worked himself up from a small hand feed press to a pressman on a large 5 color offset press. Walt and Delores enjoyed their retirement by bowling, traveling, visiting family and frequent trips "up the hill". Walt bowled until he was 86.

Great Grandfather of Annabelle Kahler, Logan Kahler, Cameron Kahler, Carson Kahler, Drew Kahler
Loving father of Diana Bonati
Grandfather of Josh and Emily Bonati, Shaleen and Rick Williams
Great Grandfather of Austin Williams, Olivia Williams, Greyson Bonati, Bexley Bonati
Also survived by 3 siblings, Kenneth Kahler, Harvey Kahler and Phyliss Fisher, numerus cousins, nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by many and loved by all forever. Rest in Peace with our Lord in Heaven. His family will all be waiting until they can see Walt and Dee again with their open arms and loving smiles.
Walter's Celebration of Life will be held on: October 29, 2020 at 11:00 am at Westminster Christian Church, 3575 West 96th Ave. Westminster, CO 80031.
