Anna was born in Elizabeth Township in Lawrence County, Ohio on July 27, 1876 to John Henry Geaskamier and Agnes Gehring.
After her father died in Ironton, Ohio in 1901, she moved with her mother and sister, Matilda to live in Detroit with relatives.
She married Ernest Hoffman in Detroit, Michigan in 1906. She lived in Detroit the remainder of her life, raising five children.
Anna died in 1961 and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
