Jake Steving
Jake Steving Jr, 76 of Sun City West, Ariz, died Tuesday May 12 at Del Webb Hospital in Sun City West. He was born Jan 15, 1922 in Greeley to Jake and Katherine Steving.
Mr. Steving graduated from College High School, now University High School, in 1939 and served in the Army during World War II. He was a retired construction superintendent and had worked for Hensel Phelps Construction Co in Greeley.
On Sept 20, 1940 he married Edith Kildow of Albuquerque, NM in Kimball, Neb.
Survivors are his wife, Edie of Sun City West; a daughter, Barbara Williamson of Salt Lake City; a son, Jake Richard Steving III of Loveland; five sisters, Edna Weber, Esther Meyer, Rose Moser and Ruth Lord, all of Greeley, and Jean Gibbs of Wheat Ridge; a brother Walter Steving of Fort Collins; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A brother Leon, a sister Martha, and a son Brian are deceased.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Sunland Lakeside Chapel, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Sunland Mortuary, Sun City.
