Imogene Gibbs
Imogene Gibbs, 72, of Wheat Ridge died Saturday Jan 25, at Lutheran Medical Center. She was born Sept 16 1930 in La Salle to Jake and Katherine (Kissler) Steving.
On Oct 5, 1952 she married Harold Deer. He died on Feb 12, 1962.
She was a former resident of Evans and had lived in Wheat Ridge since 1978. She graduated from College High School in Greeley in 1948 and from Greeley Business College in 1950.
She worked in Dr. Herbert Zick’s office as a receptionist and then for Miner and Miner Engineering as a secretary. She was then employed by H&R Block as a branch manager until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Glory of God Lutheran Church in Wheat Ridge and was active in church functions.
Survivors are three sisters, Esther Meyer, Rose Moser and Edna Weber, all of Greeley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Leon, Jake and Walter Steving and two sisters, Martha Weber and Ruth Lord.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Allnutt Funeral Service Macy Chapel.
Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Macy Chapel.
