George Clemens FEHRINGER was born on the 31st August 1930 in Sterling, Logan County, CO., son of John Frank & Clara Mary(WEMHOFF)FEHRINGER. George grew up on the FEHRINGER farm located 2 1/2 miles west of Peetz, Logan County, CO. He attended the Peetz High School, Peetz, Logan County, CO., graduting in 1948. Following graduation, George worked on the family farm and began learning the electrical trade, a skill he used for many years to help family and friends. On November 14, 1951, he jointed the United States Marines, received his Honorable discharge November 2,1953, and returned to the family farm. George Clemens FEHRINGER married Janice Rose(YEAGER)DEVIER on the 11th August 1972 at Dalton, Cheyenne County, Nebraska. They made their home on the farm making it the only place George ever called home. To this union one son was born: Shawn FEHRINGER on the 31st October 1973 in Sidney, Cheyenne County, NE. George had been a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion where he held the office of Commander and several other offices, the Peetz Men's Club, the Peetz Elevator Board and enjoyed participating in bowling league. George became sick and in 2009 moved to Gering, Scotts Bluff County, NE. George passed away on the 8th July 2013 in Gering, Scotts Bluff County, NE. and was buried on the 12th July 2013 in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Peetz, Logan County, CO.
