A funeral for John Kanzler Jr., 62, of Chadron, who died October 29, 1986, in the Chadron hospital, will be at 10 a. m. Saturday in Chamberlain Chapel at Chadron with the Rev. Tina Penor officiating. Burial will be at 2 p. m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery at Scottsbluff with the Rev. Jim Rowe officiating. A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Association in care of First National Bank of Chadron.
He was born Jan. 11, 1924, at Scottsbluff, to John and Mary (Schott) Kanzler Sr.
Survivors include his wife Ellen; daughters Karen Amstutz of Chatsworth, Calif., and Kathy Kanzler of Van Nuys, Calif.; brothers Harold and Melvin, both of Scottsbluff; sisters June Ring, Loretta Schmall and Donna Johnson, all of Scottsbluff, Lillian Dietz of Fremont, Calif., and Dorothy Kobobel of Evans, Colo.; and two grandchildren.
