Henry Grosskopf
Henry Grosskopf, 82, who worked as a carpenter and lived in Greeley, died Wednesday, Aug 16, at North Colorado Medical Center.
He was born Dec 12, 1906 to Jacob and Mabel (Gettman) Grosskopf in Grand Island, Neb.
Mr. Grosskopf moved to Grand Junction in 1908, and to Greeley in 1910, where he received his education. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945. After his discharge he returned to Greeley and was a carpenter for School District Six, retiring in 1971.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Congregational church.
Survivors are his wife, Rose of Greeley; three sisters, Mrs. J R (Freda) Sitzman of Greeley, Mrs. Graydon (Ester) Todd of La Salle, and Mrs. Emilla Miller of Greeley, five brothers, Reiny of Phoenix, Ariz, Harold of Greeley, Jake, Ruben and Fred all of Sheboygan, Wis. Two brothers, Manuel and Abraham are deceased.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul’s Congregational Church. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Congregational Church building fund in care of Adamson Mortuary.
