Freida Sitzman, 97, of Greeley died Wednesday, Jan. 15, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.

She was born June 24, 1905, in Grand Rapids, Neb., to Jacob and Mable (Gettman) Grosskopf.

On Sept. 3, 1927, she married John Sitzman.

Mrs. Sitzman loved to sew, play bridge and dominos, make crafts and work with her hands. She was a member of the Ladies Extension Club and Bridge Club.

Mrs. Sitzman farmed with her husband until their retirement. She was a great cook. She was a member of St. Paul's Congregational Church.

Survivors are two daughters, Lucille McKee of Greeley and Marjorie Wagner of Evans; a sister, Amelia Miller of Longmont; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Darleen Duncan; a grandson, Mark Duncan; a sister and eight brothers are deceased.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Allnutt Funeral Service Macy Chapel, Greeley. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley.
