Victoria -- Mary C. Pfeifer, 84, Victoria, died Monday, Nov. 20, 1995 at Hays hospital. She was born Oct. 22, 1911 in a Topeka, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Beratz Schiffelbein.

Mrs. Pfeifer was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella and Christian Mothers, all in Victoria.

She married Ray F. Pfeifer on Aug. 21, 1934 at Victoria. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Kenneth Pfeifer, Covington, La., and Raymond Pfeifer, Victoria; a sister, Maggie Haefner, Topeka; four grandchildren, and six great- grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church in Victoria. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Mrs. Pfeifer will lie in state from 7 to 9 p.m. today, 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Cline's Mortuary in Victoria where a vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
