Clem Stramel, 86, 115 W. 4, died Friday at the Hays Good Samaritan Center. He was a retired farmer.

He came to Pfeifer from Kamenka, Russia, when he was one year old and lived in Pfeifer for 20 years; he lived in Topeka and moved to Hays in 1940.

Surviving are his wife, Anna, of the home; seven sons, Ben and Ray, McCook, Neb.; Eugene, Houston, Texas; Clem, Redwood Falls, Minn.; Gilbert, North Little Rock, Ark.; Jim and Frank, both of Hays; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Irene) Walters, Hays; Mrs. Virgil (Rita) Schmidtberger, Lawrence; one brother, Steve, Pfeifer; 42 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Brock's North Hill Chapel from 1 until 9 p.m. Sunday. The parish wake service will be at 8 a.m. Sunday at the chapel.
