She was born Jan. 28, 1919 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth A. Marie Zink Stattelman.
She attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Topeka. Mrs. Plumberg was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was past president of the altar society at the church and St. Anthony's Guild for 25 years. She was a member of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia, Daughters of Isabella, Ladies of Columbus, Queen of the 1991 Mardi Gras and was a Democratic Precinct Committee Woman for 53 years.
She was married to Henry Edward Plumberg on July 4, 1938 in Topeka. He died Aug. 20, 1994.
Survivors include five sons, Lawrence E. Plumberg, Blue Springs, Mo., Kenneth F. Plumberg and Timothy J. Plumberg, both of Topeka, Jacob E. Plumberg, Osawatomie, and Michael A. Plumberg, Senceca; four daughters, Particia A. Brown and Margaret M. Ringelman, both of Topeka, Phyllis J. Bradford, Tacoma, Wash., and Nancy L. Goetting, Laevenworth; a brother, Alexander P. Stattelman, Topeka; a sister, Mildred R. Maddocks, Sandy, Utah; 28 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Plumberg will lie in state form 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home whre rosaries will be recited by the St. Anthony's Guild at 2:30 p.m., Legion of Mary at 5:30 p.m., the Altar Society at 6 p.m., the Parish at 6:15 p.m. and the Knights of Coumbus and Ladies of Columbus at 6:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 227 S.W. Van Buren, Topeka or to St. Francis Hospital and Regional Medical Center, 1700 S.W. 78th, Topeka.
