Frank Joseph Lechner was the husband of Ruth Thall, and son of Franz Joseph and Johanna Campradt-Lechner. He was one of six children, and a native of San Francisco, California.

Frank was a good-natured friendly man. He was baptized in the Roman Catholic faith at Saint Boniface Church on Golden Gate Avenue in San Francisco. During World War 1, he was stationed at Fort Mason in San Francisco. He served there as a cook for the officers.

After the war, he lived in San Francisco with a woman named Tillie (probably short for "Otillie"), and worked at the Acme Brewing Company. In a letter home to Austria, his father Franz Joseph wrote that Frank had a good job in San Francisco and would come home to Napa on weekends to visit.

After the closing of the brewery and passing of Tillie in the 1950's, Frank married Ruth Thall, a widow, and they bought a house in Boulder Creek, California. They sold their house during the late 1960's, and moved in with one of Ruth's children.

Frank passed away in 1974 at the age of 83. He had no children of his own, but left four step-children, two nephews, one niece, and two grand-nieces.

Note - Skylawn Memorial Park states that they do not have a record of Frank Joseph Lechner buried there. Some family have stated that his ashes were scattered in the ocean near the Golden Gate Bridge. His death certificate states he was cremated at Olivet Cemetery in Colma, California. Olivet confirmed the cremation, but does not know the disposition of the ashes.
