A Mass of Christian Burial for John Mildenberger of North Portland will be said at 10 a.m. Friday in Assumption Catholic Church. The Rosary was recited Thursday in the chapel of Hustad Funeral Home.

He died of heart problems Tuesday in his home. Mr. Mildenberger was 80. He was born Nov. 25, 1912, in Montrose, Colo.

He married Amelia "Millie" Kloberdanz on Feb. 2, 1935, in Denver.

Mr. Mildenberger had lived in the Portland area since 1951. He worked as a longshoreman for many years until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.

Survivors besides his wife include daughters Joanne Hochstein of Arlington, Texas, Dorothy Inskeep and Teresa Moore, both of Portland, and Angeline Hefflinger of Clackamas; sons Bill and Frank, both of Portland, John of St. Helens and George of Puyallup, Wash.; sisters, Sister Ann and Sister Elizabeth Ann, both of Milwaukee, Margaret Engraff of Denver, Pauline Gerk of Sterling, Colo., and Barbara Barry of Arizona; 25 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
