Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gethsemane Lutheran Church for Emma Koehn, 97, who died Saturday at Albany Area Hospital.
Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 tonight at Brenny-Johnson Funeral Home, Upsala, and one hour before services Tuesday at the church in Upsala. There will be a prayer service tonight at the funeral home in Upsala.
Emma Koehn was born in Farming Township, Stearns County, to Albert and Mathilda (Freitag) Schlueter. She married William F. Koehn on Sept. 19, 1919, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Farming. The couple moved to Dresden, N.D., and farmed until 1921, when they moved to a farm near Holdingford. In 1927, the couple purchased a farmstead 1 ½ miles south of Upsala. She was a member of the women's group and sewing circle. She was also a member of the PTA, American Legion Auxiliary and the Upsala Area Historical Society.
Survivors include her son, Donald of Upsala; brothers and sisters, Hubert of St. Cloud, Arthur of Buffalo, Adeline Forster of Princeton, Evelyne Luedtke of Mesa, Ariz., and Milda Hellman of Clearwater, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son and daughter, Melvin and Violet; and brothers and sisters, Carl, Albert, Clarence, Arnold, Edward, Wilhelmina (infant), Minnie and Oliva.
