Helen Catherine Dehler was born to Frank and Catherine (Hochstatter) Hartman on January 10, 1910, in Wilmont, Minnesota where she was raised and received her education. On November 19, 1935, she was united in marriage to Raymond Dehler at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont. Following their marriage, they lived in Wilmont for several years before moving near Little Falls, Minnesota. They then moved to Lake Wilson, Minnesota, where they farmed for many years. Helen continued to reside on the farm until she entered the Good Samaritan Village in Pipestone, Minnesota, on November 13, 1986. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake Wilson.
Helen died at the Good Samaritan Village on Monday, December 7, 1987, at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 27 days.
She is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Norbert Dehler of Onamia, Minnesota, and Dennis Dehler of Slayton, Minnesota; her three daughters, Audrey, Mrs. Edward Knutson, of Marshall, Minnesota; Carol, Mrs. Curt Jacobson of Marshall, Minnesota, and Marilyn, Mrs. William Wolfswinkle of Pipestone, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Vincent Hartman of Chokio, Minnesota; and two sisters, Thelma Webb of Graceville, Minnesota, and Genevieve Ruffenach of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Buried at Calvary Cemetery, Wilmont, MN.
