Marilyn Sharon Wolfswinkle was born to Raymond and Helen (Hartman) Dehler on May 2, 1952 in Slayton, Minnesota. She was raised on the family farm near Lake Wilson, Minnesota, and she graduated from Lake Wilson High School in 1970. She then attended vocational school in Granite Falls, MN, for one year. Upon completion of her education, she returned to Lake Wilson and she began working for the Swift Turkey Processing Plant. On June 8, 1974, she was united in marriage to William Wolfswinkle at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake Wilson. Following their marriage, they resided in Grange Township of Pipestone County, Minnesota. For one year, Marilyn was employed as a bookkeeper in the Ruthton School District. In January, 1977, she began her employment with the Bayliner Marine Corporation in Pipestone. She continued working for Bayliner until May, 1990.
Marilyn died at her home in rural Pipestone on October 7, 1990, at the age of 38 years, 5 months and 5 days.
