Norbert G. E. Dehler was born March 31, 1937 in Buckman Township, Morrison County, MN to Raymond & Helen 'Hartman' Dehler. In 1944, the family moved to a farm near Lake Wilson, MN, where Norbert grew up and attended country school. He served in the U.S. Navy until honorably dischaged. He was united in marriage to Faye J. A. Thomas on June 14, 1959 in St. James Lutheran Church in Holland, MN. The couple resided in Marshall, MN, where Norbert farmed and worked as an auto mechanic until June, 1967. The couple then purchased a farm SE of Onamia, MN, in 1967. Norbert worked as an auto mechanic at the Ford dealership in Milaca from 1967-1977. He continued to farm until his sudden death. Norbert loved to play with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed bear & deer hunting and watching football. He enjoyed farming, auctions and going to sales barns.
