Rose Gulley, formerly of Port Huron, died August 6, 2010 in her Elkton, Maryland home. She was 84. Rose Gulley, the daughter of Henry Laber and Katherine Meinhardt, was born in Port Huron on August 16, 1925. She was a 1944 graduate of Port Huron High School, and accumulated about a year of college courses. In 1954, she married Walter Gulley, a Chrysler employee, and later moved with him to Newark, Delaware.

Mrs. Gulley worked as an Investment Analyst for the University of Delaware until she retired in October of 1985. She remained active in the community as an usher at local playhouses and as a member of the Red Hat Society. She traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. She published an article in Rock And Gem Magazine, and her photographs were published in The Cecil Whig.

Mrs. Gulley is survived by her brother, Henry Laber and sisters, Elizabeth Arkills, Mary Janke, and Katherine Grahm. She is also survived by her son, Dan Vale, her grandson, Arnat Vale, and her great grandsons, Varney and Vanden Vale.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2010 in the Lakeside Cemetery Chapel, Port Huron.
