To Those I Love
When I am gone, just release me, let me go — so I can move into my afterglow. You mustn’t tie me down with your tears; let’s be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love, you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it’s time I traveled on alone.
So grieve for me for awhile, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted with trust. It’s only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. And then, when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile and a “Welcome Home.”
Irene Josephine Trippel, a lifelong resident of Fort Collins, on Jan. 22, 2012, took her final journey to meet her maker, family and friends at heaven’s gate. She was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Fort Collins to Henry and Mary Katherine Deines. She married Harold Dale Trippel on Jan. 30, 1944. He preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 1966. They farmed in the Fort Collins area for 22 years. She went to work for Colorado State University food service in 1968, and retired in 1984.
Survivors include her daughter, Joan Sipes and husband Jack of Fort Collins; granddaughter, Jackie Sipes-Hernandez and husband Matt Hernandez of Windsor; sister, Clara Heckman of Windsor; brother, Elmer Deines of Eaton; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Katherine Deines; sister, Ruth Kehl of Cheyenne; and brother Albert Deines of Laramie.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Collins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Larimer County Humane Society or the charity of your choice, in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO 80526.
