Mary Katherine Deines, 89, of Fort Collins died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1987, at Columbine Care Center.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in Warren-Bohlender Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Nickel officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 23, 1897, in Denhoff, Russia. She moved from Russia to Bazine, Kan., in 1913 and to Fort Collins soon after.
She married Henry Deines on April 9, 1917, in Fort Collins. He died March 8, 1974. She was a housewife.
Survivors include five children, Clara Heckman and Irene Trippel of Fort Collins, Ruth Kehl of Cheyenne, Wyo., Albert Deines of Laramie, Wyo., and Elmer Deines of Eaton; five brothers and sisters, Mary Kerbel of Fort Collins, Odelia Stuckert of Torrington, Wyo., Esther Walters of Greeley, Jacob Deines of Parker and William Deines of Brighton; a step-brother, Henry Stuckert of Morrill, Neb.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in care of Warren-Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
