Minnie was the oldest of five children born to William Clinton Lentz and Catherine Melinda Hartman. She grew up living on or around the farm of Benjamin Riegle, her great grandfather and prominent man in the community. Benjamin outlived both his son Benjamin D. (grandfather of Minnie) and William Clinton (father of Minnie). After Minnie married Charles Warren Lentz on the 14 May 1910 they raised their seven sons on this farm in Mifflin Township. Later they moved into Millersburg.
