Pauline Cecilia Herl, 89, Hays, died Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Hays Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Hays to Alex and Pauline (Schwalyer) Kisner.
She married Bruno T. Herl on July 28, 1947. He preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis W. Herl and wife, Rita, Andover, Terry F. Herl and wife, Rhonda, Carnation, Wash.; a daughter, Carol Susan Engel and husband, Dennis, Hays; a brother-in-law, Clarence Fisher and wife, Shirley, Wichita; a sister-in-law, Alverna Kisslinger and husband, Herman, Ransom; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Tony, Isadore, Al, Cliff, and Joe Kisner; three sisters, Barbara Waldschmidt, Rosie Pfannenstiel and MaryAnn Fisher.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, KS 67601; inurnment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in care of the mortuary.
