Barbara Waldschmidt, 63, 2202 Drum, died Monday, Oct. 3 at Hadley Regional Medical Center. She was born March 2, 1920 in Hays, the daughter of Alex and Pauline (Schwalle) Kisner.

She married Peter C. Waldschmidt Sept. 30, 1941 at Hays; he died in 1952.

She was a housewife and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hays.

Survivors include two sons, Gregory, of the home, and Donald, Munjor; three daughters, Virginia Kasper and JoAnn Schmidtberger, both of Hays, and Barbara Sanborn, Hutchinson; five brothers, Al Kisner, Hoisington, Joseph Kisner, Wellington, Colo., and Tony Kisner, Isadore Kisner and Albert Kisner, all of Hays; three sisters, Rose Pfannenstiel, Pauline Herl and Mary Ann Fisher, all of Hays; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with Fathers Albert DeSanctis, Roger Meitl and James Grennan officiating.
