Victoria—James “Jimmy” Paul Michalik, 73 passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015 in Houston. He was born on July 25, 1941 in Palacios to the late John Adolph and Aurelia Frances Mikesh Michalik. Jimmy was retired from the Celanese Chemical Company of Bay City. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and just being outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, brother, cousin and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Kathy Michalik of Victoria; daughter, Monnie Frances Michalik of Shreveport, LA; son, Michael James Michalik of Houston; sisters, Dorothy George of Lumberton, Jane Tedder of Katy, Lucy Henderson of Pearland and Agnes Winans of Channelview; brothers, John Michalik and wife Sylvia of Round Rock, Ed Michalik and wife Elaine of Pasadena, Paul Michalik and wife Vickie of Port Lavaca, Charlie Michalik and wife Diane of Palacios, Ray Michalik and wife Peggy of Brazoria and Frank Michalik and wife Evelyn of El Maton; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 704 Mallette Drive with Father Gary Janak officiating. Burial will be on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Blessing.
