Local Woman Passes Away
Mrs. Elizabeth Ehrhardt, resident of the Lodi district for the past 22 years, passed away last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clifford Schwimmer, route 3, box 199, Lodi, following a short illness. She was born in Dreispitz, Russia, and was 87 years of age.
The deceased came to the United States from Russia in 1885. The family conducted a farm near Ramona, Kansas, for a number of years. Her husband, George Ehrhardt, died in Ramona March 25, 1918. She came to Lodi with her children in 1921 and continued to make her home here. She was an active member of the Seventh Day Church of God and was well known in church circles of that denomination.
She was the mother of Sam Ehrhardt, Lodi; Solomon Ehrhardt, Ramona, Kansas; Isaac and Dan Ehrhardt, Lodi; Mrs. Phoebe Schwimmer, Lodi; aunt of Mrs. Frank Gant, Lodi and Mrs. William Blehm, Acampo. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Notice of funeral arrangements will be given later by the Lodi Funeral Home.
