Michael A. Meyer, who died at one o'clock Wednesday afternoon of last week for heart attack, was buried Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the Osakis Lutheran Church. Interment took place in Lakeside Cemetery. Rev. Dr. J. W. Johnsboy of Concordia College, Moorhead, officiated. Sons consisting of one solo "one Sweetly Solemn Thought," by Mrs. A. R. Blakey, and two duets, "Face to Face" and "Old Rugged Cross" by Almira Mickelson and Ida Nelson, were the musical numbers at the service. Mrs. Arthur Ferris played the accompaniment. The deceased was born June 3, 1883, at Decorah, Iowa. In the fall of the same year he moved to Howard, South Dakota, with his parents. On December 22, 1908, he united in marriage to Tilda Ring at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer moved to North Dakota in 1915 and to Minnesota in 1921 to a farm at the head of Lake Osakis. In 1930 they moved to the village where he had resided ever since. He is survived by his widow and seven children, three girls and four boys. Three children died in infancy. Those living are: Mrs. Albert Fearing (Rosabelle) of Osakis; Helen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Lucy, Leo, Roy, Henry, and Willard, at home. He also leaves one grandson, Richard Fearing, and one sister and three brothers. His parents and four brothers preceded him in death. Those surviving are: Mrs. Peter Schmit of Howard, South Dakota; Lewis Meyer of Dodge Center, Minnesota; Matt J. Meyer of Mott, North Dakota; and William A. Meyer of Blaine, Washington. The brothers Matt and William were unable to be present at his funeral. The children were all at home. Those coming to be present at the funeral were: O. M. Ring, Madison, South Dakota, father of Mrs. Meyer; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Johnson of Madison, South Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Weibersick of Lennox, South Dakota; Mrs. Peter Schmit of Howard, South Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Meyer of Dodge Center, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Inger Pederson of Minneapolis; and Clinton Peterson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
