Observe 40th Anniversary:
Many friends greeted Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Meyer Thursday afternoon and evening on their 40th wedding anniversary. Assisting them in receiving at their home were their daughter, Mrs. Chris Jensen and their granddaughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Don Smith who are visiting here from Columbus, Ohio. The couple also has a grandson, ronnie Jensen. The anniversary cake which was served with coffee was decorated in Ruby rosebuds in recognition of the ruby anniversary. With her black dress and red carnation corsage, Mrs. Meyer wore a long necklace of seed pearls and onyx, a gift to her from Mr. Meyer on her wedding day. An arrangement of talisman and red rosebuds centered the table. Many gifts and cards were received by the couple, including a telegram from their son-in-law who is in Alaska. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer have been residents of Bellingham for many years. They were married here in June 1915.
