Helen M King, age 74, a resident of Rte. 1, Spooner, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 30, 1982, at the Spooner Community Hospital.

The former Helen Bruner was born on Feb. 24, 1907, in the Town of Scott. She has lived in this area all of her life. On January 25, 1958 she married Ray King at Spooner. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shell Lake.

She is survived by her husband, Ray, one son, Dr. Donald Koepp, Princeton, New Jersey, six grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Lerbach, Sarona, Belle Lindberg and Jennie Lindberg, both of Sorrento, British Columbia; two brothers, Lee Bruner,Rryderwood, Washington, and Robert Bruner, Inilda, Alberta; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, John, in 1970.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shell Lake, the Rev. Fr. Dean Buttrick officiated. Spring burial will be in the Spooner Cemetery. Visitation was held on Monday at the Dahl Funeral Home where an 8 p.m. scripture service was held. (The Spooner Advoate, Spooner, WI, February 4, 1982)
