Sparky, 65, passed away in his home of an apparent heart attack.

He was the son of Robert and Bernadine (Westerheide) Borgerding. On May 29, 1947, in Montezuma, he married Agnes Schwieterman, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his widow, Frances, whom he married in 1957.

Also surviving are three sons, John, Dayton, Joseph, St. Henry, and Raphael, Celina; two daughters, Barbara (Robert) Albers, North Star, and Bernice (Dale) Klosterman, Celina; two brothers, Anthony, Dayton, and Ernest, Ft. Recovery; five sisters, Alvina Werling and Anna Zwisler, both Dayton, Elnora Kemper, St. Henry; Monica Broerman, Burkettsville, and Florentine Kemper, St. Marys; and nineteen grandchildren.

Deceased are one daughter and two brothers.

Before retirement in 1972, he was employed at Avco New Idea, Coldwater. He was a member of St. Bernard's church, Burkettsville and its Holy Name Society, and the Knights of St. John, Maria Stein.

Funeral services were at St. Bernard's Church, the Rev. Mark Dorenkemper officiating.
