On Sept. 13, 1952, a beautiful love affair began when Delbert and Marilyn Lois Cantrall were married at the Athens United Methodist Church. He began farming as a 10 year old, milking cows and helping with other chores and learning to love the land. He continued farming his entire life.
Delbert was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife. He was blessed with a son, Ron, and daughter-in-law, Kathy; beloved grandchildren, Becky and her husband, Matt, Jeff (Kelsie), and Kevin; and great-grandson, Easton. A sister, Darlene Davis, survives and brother-in-law, Harold Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Evelyn Caldwell and Lucille Elliott, preceded in him in death.
