She was born on December 25, 1934 in rural Menard County, the daughter of Thomas and Rose Weidhuner Tobias.
Darlene is survived by one daughter, Shelly (Jack) Knuppel; two grandchildren, Ashley (Jason) Fleck and Ken (fiancé Savanna Sullivan) Knuppel; as well as one great – grandchild, Riley Rose Fleck.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie; both parents; one daughter, Janice; two sisters and one brother.
Darlene enjoyed baking, collecting and talking about her great granddaughter.
She worked at the National Bank of Petersburg for many years where she later retired.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, private graveside services will be held for Darlene.
