August Newkirk Dies Saturday. Orange, Sept. 27. August G. Newkirk, 61, long time resident here, passed away Saturday at his home at 140 N. Batavia St. He was born in Iowa County, Iowa, and was prominently identified with activities at St. John's Lutheran Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Otto Ahlers of Anaheim, and Six sons, Clarence, Albert, Herbert, Elton, Raymond and Oscar; 19 grandchildren, 29 nephews, 27 nieces, and four brothers, Ed, Fred, Ernest and David, all of Iowa. Services to be conducted tomorrow at 2 p. m. at St. John's church by the Rev. A. C. Bode, honorary pastor of St. John's.
