Ocala - Iris S. Link passed away on May 31, 2017 in Ocala, Florida. Iris was born September 18, 1929 in Wilkinsburg, PA. She grew up in Gulfport, Florida where she met and married Charles M. Link, Jr. in August 1948, and moved to Ocala with her family in 1957. She was married to her forever sweetheart, Charlie, for 67 years when he passed away 2 years ago. Iris loved her Church work and was a well known golfer and teacher. She loved working with children in girl scouting, golf clinics, and as a substitute teacher in Ocala schools.
Iris was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise VanDerLike (Rob) in 2015.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Baldus (Roger); brother, John Sudduth; Sister, Jackie Brown; grandchildren, Deena Denise Hoyt (Jack), Roger Marc Baldus (Jennifer), Gary Link Baldus (Shawn). She also has she great grandchildren who are very blessed to have had the opportunity to know her.
The family will hold a private service at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please make your contributions to First Church of Christ, Scientist, Ocala, Florida.
