He was born in Pfeiffer, Russia, February 24, 1875, and settled in Topeka June 28, 1906.
He made his home in this city until he moved to Chicago in 1938.
He is survived by four sons, John Breit, Detroit, Casper Breit, Chicago, George and Michael Breit, both of Topeka; two daughters, Mrs. Kate Bopp, Chicago, and Mrs. Helen Zalenski, Junction City, Ill.; a brother, George Breit, Topeka; 33 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Rosaries Friday at Brennan Funeral Home will be recited by the Fourth Degree at 7:30 p.m., Knights of Columbus 2608 at 8 p.m., and the parish at 8:30 p.m.
