She married Albert J. Pfeifer on Aug. 23, 1948 in Hays.
She was a homemaker, a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and Ellis Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; five sons, Norman J., Miamisburg, Ohio, Kenneth J., Red Oak, Texas, Maurice J. and Galen M., both of Hays, and Charles D., Wichita; six daughters, Karen M. Feighny, Baldwin City, Patricia Dean, Nevada, Mo., Jolene Whitehair and Denise M. Pfeifer, both of Hays, Beverly Jones, Wichita, and Stephanie Berland, Overland Park; two brothers, Aloysius Haas, Durango, Colo., and Francis Haas, Kearney, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and a great- grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 9:45 p.m. Friday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine. There will be an Ellis Daughters of Isabella rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., both Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial are suggested to Masses or the church.
