A.G. "Gus" Tebbe, 93, Rt. 2, Tipton, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday at his residence. Born Nov. 7, 1898, in Oldenburg, he was the son of William J. and Anna M. Grunker Tebbe. He was married Nov. 28, 1934, to Berniece Powell. She survives.

Others surviving include five daughter, Virginia Baker, Helen T. Matthews, Julie A. Plake, Alice E. Gray and Leona Stout, all of Tipton; three sons, Robert J. Tebbe, Leonard J. Tebbe, and George A. Tebbe, all of Tipton; 33 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren and two step great-great-grandchildren.

Seven brother, John Tebbe, Frank Tebbe, William Tebbe, Henry Tebbe, George Tebbe, Theodore Tebbe and Leo Tebbe; four sisters, Elizabeth Ertel, Theresia Munchel, Gertrude Ertel, and Anna Dickman, all preceded him in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church and burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
