Henry Joseph Tebbe, 78, Tipton, died Thursday at in the Tipton County Memorial Hospital following a two-and-a-half week illness. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in the St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
Born Feb. 4, 1890 in Oldenburg, he was the son of William J. and Anna (Gruenker) Tebbe. On Nov. 24, 1925 he was married to Agnes Sarah McEntee, who preceded him in death on Nov. 17, 1959.
A farmer, he was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Surviving are a son, James H. Tebbe, Tipton; four brothers, William and Theodore, both of Batesville, A.G. Tebbe, Tipton, and Leo off Brookville; three sisters, Mrs. Theresa Munchell, Rushville; Mrs. Gertrude Ertel, St. Marys; Mrs. Ann Dickman, Williamsburg; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
