John Andrew Besler. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Church Monday at 8 a.m., with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, for John Andrew Besler, 52, who died unexpectedly Thursday from a heart attach.
He was stricken while in a motorcar between Fourth and Fifth on Emmett and was taken at once to the Santa Fe Hospital, where authorities said he had been dead for several minutes. A resident of Topeka 32 years, Mr. Besler was a Santa Fe employee and was on his way to work following his lunch hour. He had worked for the company 27 years.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Barbara Besler of the home, three daughters, Margaret, Louise and Amelia, and a son, John Jr., all of the home, and a step-brother, John Kuhn of Denver.
The body will lie in state at the home, 607 Grattan, from 4 p.m. Saturday until the funeral hour, with Brennan’s in charge.
