Hildegard Catherine Boos, 94, Topeka, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, in Topeka. She was born March 4, 1909, in Pfifer, the daughter of Casper Burghart and Mary Ann Weighant.

She came to Topeka as a small child from Pfifer and has lived in Topeka since. She worked for Seymours and Memorial Hospital. She was active in the Ladies of the Moose and St. Monica's Altar Society. She also remained very active in Sacred Heart Catholic Church up until her recent illness. She participated in the Lulac Senior Center for many years.

She married Jacob Boos in 1931 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She lived in North Topeka's Little Russia area and was known as the dentist for the small children in the area.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Peter Boos; sisters, Mary Gorrell, Catherine Kaberline, and Elizabeth Kippes; and brothers, George, John, Joseph and Theadore Burghart.

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy O'Mara and husband, Bill O'Mara, Topeka; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Hildegard Catherine Boos will lie in state at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. today, where a parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. and St. Monica Altar Society at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice House or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
