She and her husband, John, moved to Hays in 1916 and were in the dairy business until 1948. He died in 1964.
Survivors include three sons, Dutch, Denver, Colo., Richard and Alfred T., Hays; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Bollig, Hays; two brothers, Joe Dechant, Hays, Frank Dechant, Denver; one sister, Mrs. Pauline Haas, Victoria; four grandchildren, John Keberlien, Wichita, Mrs. Patricia Kleweno, Hays, Mrs. Diane Schuvie, Souix City, Iowa, Mrs. Vickie Jensen, Hays; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Parish wake service will be at 8 p.m. Monday at Brock's North Hill Chapel.
