Died: at age 21; typhoid fever

==========
Mr. and Mrs. B.G. Bomberger, 2 1/2 miles west of town, have suffered the loss of two children during the past week.

On Wednesday the 8th [Aug 8, 1906] last, they lost their infant daughter, Irene, aged four days, and the funeral was held Wednesday afternoon.

On Thursday afternoon, the 9th [Aug 9, 1906], their oldest son, Charles Bomberger, aged 21 years, 3 months and 17 days, passed away. The cause of his death was typhoid fever, with which disease he had been sick for some time. Charles was born near Cook, April 22, 1885, and had lived all of his life in this county. He was an industrious, bright young man, just entering into a useful manhood, and his death is a sad blow to his parents. On account of the serious illness of his mother, it was impossible to hold the funeral service at the home, and a short service was held at the graveside of Tecumseh Cemetery. Reverend T.D. Davis conducted the same. The remains were followed to its last resting place by a large number of neighbors and friends, the procession being one of the largest that has ever been seen in our city [Tecumseh]. The sorrowing family have the deepest sympathy of everyone in their affliction.
