OBITUARY
Benson Guelsbery Bombarger was born June 12, 1892 and died October 14th 1918 at his home in this city at 8:30p.m. The cause of his death was the Spanish influenza. The best of care was given him, but of no avail and when his time came he gracefully submitted to the will of Him who knows all things best. The funeral services were held from the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Lehman of the Helena Church, and old friend of the family, preached a grand sermon, taking the text from Luke 12-40.

The deceased was marrried to Emma Mary Rogman on December 27, 1911, and to this union were born three children who with the widow are left to mourn the loss of a good and loving father. Besides these he leaves a father, mother, five sisters and three brothers and other relatives. Thus in the prime of life he has gone to join the mulitude in the Great Beyond. The Home Guards, of which he was a member, were out in full force and accompanied the remains to the Sterling Cemetery where the last rites were performed of the departed one.

When the morning birds are on the wing, my first thoughts are of thee, and I think perhaps the evening will bring you back to me. When evening brings the twilight and spreads o'er land and sea, I hope the dawn beyond the night will bring you back to me. The days are beads on an endless chain, and this their only key. That sometime, somehow, something, will bring you back to me.
Then this the thoughts by angels send, I hear on bended knee, and know at last the Judgement will bring you back to me.
