============================
Florence Evelyn Bomberger, first child of Benson and Frances "Belle" Bomberger, was born Dec 2, 1882, on a farm located a short distance east from Cook, Nebraska. She grew up on various farms in Johnson County with the exception of two years, which were spent in Kansas near Athol. Florence attended rural school as much as her parents could spare her from duties at home. She and her parents valued education very highly.
Florence and Alfred Riensche, oldest son of Charles and Louise Riensche, were united in marriage Feb 8, 1911, by Rev. Johannes Lehman in her parents' home near Burr, Nebraska.
Alfred did carpentry work for several years before he began farming. Alfred and Florence enjoyed music, and singing with Alfred's guitar accompaniment was the main source of entertainment. They both liked to read, and Florence spent time piecing quilts and raising house plants as hobbies.
Florence, Alfred and children were members of St. Paul's Lutheran church.
After Florence's father, Benson Bomberger, died in 1941, her mother Belle lived with them until her death in 1943. They saw all of their children married and away from the family home.
