In the spring of 1893 the departed came to the United States and six months later on October 19, 1893, she was united in marriage with Henry W. Warneking. This event took place at North Branch, Nebraska. In the spring of 1903 she together with her family moved near Superior where she lived until her death. Mr. and Mrs. Warneking were blessed with seven children, six sons and one daughter.
In 1922 the departed had the privilege of returning once more to her homeland for an extended visit with friends and relatives.
Mrs. Warneking enjoyed excellent health throughout most of her earthly life and was spared a long and painfull illness. Friday evening, the 17th of January she departed from this life to join her husband and daughter, who had gone before her. She lived on this earth 70 years, 3 months and 19 days.
She leaves to mourn her departure her six sons, Fred, Herman, William, Harry, Emil and Walter, and 22 grand children.
Funeral services were held at the Salem Lutheran Church on Monday afternoon, and her body was laid to rest in its cemetery. Rev. L. Scholl officiated.
