Hildred Mae "Billie" Carson was born on the 06 Jul 1915 in Oneonta, Otsego Co, NY, the fifth child of Frank Carson and Mamie M. Gardner. She was raised on a farm in Sanford (Big Hollow) Broome Co, NY.

She married Clarke Minor Seymour, the son of Edward Seymour and Gertrude Hathaway of Hancock, Delaware Co, NY on 20 Jun 1936 on the Carson Farm in Big Hollow by the Rev M. W. Pomeroy. They set up housekeeping on the Seymour Homestead, a large dairy farm on Sands Creek Road in Hancock. The homestead stayed in the family for over 150 years and was a gathering place for both the Seymour and Carson families.

Billie and Clarke had three sons, Clarke Edward (1937-1987), Harmon Lee (1940-1991) and Samuel Jerald (1945-Still Living). Clarke Edward took over the homestead. Billie was a strong minded woman of great Baptist faith. She worked side by side with her husband on the farm everyday, never one to shy away from hardwork. She loved to make pine needle baskets and had a passion for genealogy. She was a great organizer of Carson and Gardner family reunions.

Billie passed peacefully on 25 Sep 1998 at her winter home in Bradenton, Manatee Co, FL and was buried beside her husband in the Seymour/Hathaway plot in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock, Delaware Co, NY, being survived by one son Sam, her daughters-in-law Princess, Shirley and Judith, thirteen grandchildren, great-grandchildren, three sisters Dorothy L Crosby, Ruthie Elinor Aiello and Lois Bailey, and many nieces and nephews.
