MRS. GLADYS CARSON PERRY
Mrs. Gladys Carson Perry, wife of Virgil Perry, of Binghamton, passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 23. Mrs. Perry will be remembered as Gladys Carson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carson, of Cortland, former residents of Deposit.
Born July 26, 1909 [1910], at Oneonta, she spent the most of her life in Deposit. Graduating from Deposit Central School in the Class of 1933. She entered the Binghamton State Hospital to train as a nurse, graduating from that place in 1937, following that profession until last September.
In June, 1941 [12 Apr 1939], she married Virgil Perry, of Binghamton, and she leaves one son, Virgil J., aged 10 months.
She is survived by her husband and son; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carson; five sisters. Mrs. Arlene Bates, of Hackensack, NJ; Mrs. Clarke Seymour, Hancock; Mrs. Homer Crosby, Cortland; Mrs. Henry Continanza, of West New York, NJ, and Mrs. S. Lazaros, of Dumont, NJ and two brothers, Harry of Deposit and Frank G. of Cortland.
Funeral services were held in Binghamton Tuesday morning with Burial in Calvary Cemetery at Endicott.
