SENECA--Callistus A. "Cal" Glissman, 71, Seneca, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at a Seneca nursing home.
Mr. Glissman farmed and operated a dairy near Seneca until 1985.
He was born June 1, 1928, in Kelly, the son of Bernard and Agnes Enneking Glissman. He was raised in Kelly and he attended St. Bede's School.
Mr. Glissman was a member of St. Bede's Church at Kelly. He served on the St. Bede's School Board and the Harrison Township Board, where he operated he maintainer for the township He also was a 50-year member of the Knights of Columbus Council No.1769 in Seneca.
He married Georgina Engelken on Aug. 29, 1951, at St. Benedict. She survives.
Other survivors include five sons: James, Plainfield, Ind.; David, Corning; Keith and Brian, both of Seneca; and Eric, Rolla, Mo.; four daughters, Kathy Stamper and Patty Edwards, both of Danville, Ind.; Karol, Indianapolis; and Phyllis, Sabetha; two brothers, Ben, Seneca; and Cletus, Wetmore; two sisters: Agnes Boden, Havensville and Frances Steinlage, Corning; a half sister, Betty Kongs, Seneca; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild;
Mr. Glissman was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Vicky Glissman, Dec. 28, 1964, and a son, Daniel Glissman, Dec. 20, 1975.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a. m. Thursday at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. Burial will be in St. Bede's Cemetery in Kelly.
