Sometime prior to 1917, Frida married Carl August Hammel. They had two children, Ruth Helen, born on July 7, 1917 and James Carl, in 1925.
Her husband worked in the local bank as a cashier, while Frida kept house for the family. Before the children were born, Frida taught school.
In the 1930 Census, they are living at 409 Lane St., in Clay Center, Kansas.
Frida died in Clay Center on April 13, 1974.
