Mrs. Roy Corsbie
Mrs. Roy (Edna L.) Corsbie, 67, 759 Chicago, died at 6 p.m. Monday in Porter Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness.
Born March 21, 1898, in Kouts, she was the daughter of Samuel and Augusta (Zoborosky) Lane. In 1917, in Valparaiso, she was married to Hans C. Rhoda, who preceded her in death in May, 1948. On Aug. 26, 1950, in Valparaiso she was married to Roy M. Corsbie, who survives.
Mrs. Corsbie was a member of the First Christian Church, past member of the Women of the Moose and an honorary member of the Machinist Union. She was employed in the Electrical division of the McGill Manufacturing Company for 18 1/2 years, retiring in December, 1963.
Surviving, besides the husband are two sons, Kenneth C. and Robert L., both of Valparaiso; two stepsons, Herman E. Corsbie, Valparaiso, and Harold L. Corsbie, Venice, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Lester (Charlotte) Barkley, Valparaiso; two brothers, Leo Lane, Valparaiso, and Bernard Lane, Morocco; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Davis, Morocco; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wetmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas E. Alston, First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
