C. M. Bennett
Clifton Mullins Bennett, age 44, passed away, at his home west of Falkner early Monday afternoon, following an illness of several weeks.

The funeral service was held on Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock, followed by burial in the Little Hope cemetery. The service was conducted by Rev. E. J. Estes. Mr. Bennett was a well known and highly respected citizen of that community. He had been a member of the Church of Christ for a number of years.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Bennett, and the following children: Mrs. Virginia Childers, Thomas H., Matelyn, C. Doyle, Everett E., Clyde H., Walker D., Gather B., and J. R. Bennett. He is also survived by his father Matt Bennett and the following brother and sisters: Tommie Lee Bennett, Memphis; John R. Bennett, Falkner; Mrs. Nettie Cox, Holly Springs; Claude Bennett, Memphis; Sidney Bennett, of Texas; Frank Bennett, Holly Springs; Cline Bennett, Ashland; Russell Bennett, Ashland; Cox Bennett, Ashland; Ferrell M. Bennett, Ashland; Lillie B. Wilbanks, Memphis, Lula Vera Gross, Memphis; Dora Mae Tarpin.

Their many friends deeply sympathize with the family in their bereavement.

Active pallbearers included: Albert Wilbanks, Clyde Hopkins, Carl Ford, Leroy Childers, Charlie Hobson, George Turpin.

The Ripley Funeral Home had charge of funeral arrangements.
